The 2020 State HIT Connect Summit was postponed just 6 weeks before the conference dates. The first option we explored was to transition the entire program to a virtual platform, however, given it was simply not going to be plausible to engage with our participants during this crisis period we opted to postpone the in-person to the Nov-Dec time frame.
We do however intend to serve the State HIT Connect stakeholders in the coming months through the State HIT Connect ‘Virtual Webinar Series’ which will cover all of the ‘core’ track themes of the in-person conference, in the context of the ‘new normal’ which will likely have ramifications across many areas of State Health IT.
Over the course of 6 months, HITC will host what will essentially be six State HIT Connect mini-conferences on the first Thursday of every month, profiling priority topics for each of the six conference tracks, as well as an ‘Interoperability Insights’ themed webinar aligned to the same track. We will also include one sponsored webinar, co-developed with an industry partner for each of the virtual mini-series, also aligned to the track theme, topics.
Each webinar is produced by Healthcare IT Connect as streaming video synced with a PowerPoint presentation, the session will be broadcast live and held in the archive at the State HIT Connect media portal for 12 months.
